Cell phone works seamlessly in a place which has never been explored by humans. The army from India is able to get to a foreign land and kill hundreds of people there, without any issues or implications. If the army could be air-dropped in the Chola-settlement so easily, why should the crew travel over land, facing so many dangers and losing so many lives? Why do the Cholas look, act and behave like barbarian cannibals? Even though they are shown to have magical powers, how do they get cheated so easily by a girl? When all of the Chola women are raped and tortured by the army, how does Andrea escape, always standing by the side, watching all the horror? the movie becomes a torture porn, using the excuse of war, superstitions and agony. The director aspires hard to show how barbaric the Cholas are, and how crude things move about in this land, which makes the audience say, ‘Yuck!’. The script becomes slow, and all characters other than Reema Sen bear a zombie like dumbness about them, while Reema Sen becomes the like of a blood sucking vampire. This is so true. !!! Positive 1) Congratulation to the whole crew of the movie 4 creating a movie which theme is rare in Tamil cinema. 2) Songs n song video clip superb. 3) Generally acting skill of the trio is ok because certain part no emotional and real life expression. They should have used someone have Tamil look n accent for Reema Sen character. Negative 1) Don’t have the expression and feeling of exploration. 2) This story is a fantasy type like "300" or any other Eng movie which has almost the same theme (history + fantasy). In future other directors won’t do the same mistake 3) Logic a) Bring a big group 4 an expedition, b) Bringing weapons to a another country (really fool), c) Entering a country with helicopter ( better do exploration by using helicopter around the island then once have located the village get down and search) plus no problem from the government as they get into someone air border, d) The dessert appear from nowhere while in Preparis Island(the actual island that is shown in early part of the movie in a map) don’t have dessert and dessert don’t exist right after a tropical forest, e) Having wonderful dinner in a jungle f) Unlimited bullets g) The war is really stupid and unrealistic, h) Supernatural power, i) The red sea creature at the early part of the movie not realistic at all. 4) Inconsistency a) While departing from India at the jetty, Karthi don’t have a tiger tattoo. b) The skin colour of Karthi not same throughout the movie. c) The position the trio wait near the look alike stoneage artefact place not same before and after sunset and during sunrise. 5) Others a) Using vulgar words definitely not important in this movie, even worse than English movies b) The feeling of mighty king die can’t be felt c) The director should have emphasis on the war + King + journey rather than the aftermath of war (rapping) and Reema Sen peeing scene. d) Bad effects, Totally agree.
