Thanks Suhas :)

I had been in my Santro, and saw a jeep as well there. Now that the rains have stopped, Scorpio shd be able to do it easily.

Anyways, trekking is a very good option, as Mullaiyangiri is known for its treks :) If u are adventurous, u can do the 25km trek from Mullaiyangiri to Kemmangundi too...

Hey!

Fantastic travelogue and precise coverage... I genuinely liked it!

I am a bit apprehensive about taking my Scorpio to the Mullayanagiri foot-hills :(
Do you think I better trek all the way? I am not averse to it as I have trakked right across almost all hills in India ;)

Thanks!

Trying to answer ur queries...

1. The weather will be similar to Blr nighttime temperature. If u r sensitive, carrying sweaters will be helpful.
2. Esp if it rains, Mullayanagiri could be a slight challenge. The road is narrow, and it could be foggy. I am generally adventurous, and felt the drive was tingling, mainly cos u r hundreds of feet above the ground.
3. If by local food u mean chikmagalur specials, I am not sure... homestays would serve them. But others, I have no idea.
4. Mullayanagiri, Z-point in Kemmanagundi etc. If it is a rainy day, u will find most places deserted.

Dear All

I am visiting chikmagalur from 2-4 october. I was hoping that you could advise me on the following

1)Will the weather be cold as compared to bangalore nighttime temperature? do i need to carry sweaters ect
2) I will be driving in my Civic MT. Will there be a challenge driving to Mullayangiri? I am a confident driver but both me and my wife are very safe and not a very daring or adventure oriented couple.
3) Is there any local restaurant /shack where the local food is very good? We are staying at the Taj but like experiencing local flavours.
4) Is there a nice picnic spot where i can serenade my wife (read PDA) without the fear of getting hounded by locals .

Pls reply

Hi Praveen,

It is photoshop.
I don't batch process since I post-process the photos individually.
I just manipulate canvas size to add these borders.
I have the sequence stored up as a photoshop action, which minimizes the time.
